This has been a busy and productive week. I'm idle today so that I can help Colleen with her jewelry show. After all, I'm a licensed and certified hoover-er!
Got my second rejection for the Harding Academy Show this coming May, so I'm a little bummed about that, but my joint show with Anne and Brian Sommerville at the Centennial Arts Center is still on for June. I've set aside the landscapes from the Smokies for the moment to concentrate on abstracts for that show.

Off and running on new work. I took a long weekend and worked plein air in the Smoky Mountains and West Miller's cove, guest of my sweet sister Deb and her husband Ken. Developed four pieces to finish off in the studio. Looks like three of them might survive. In addition, I have some abstract paintings in the works as well.

What a hoot! Great chance to chat with friends, both old and new. Justin and Audra at abrasiveMedia were wonderful. Lovely hosts and real professionals. We sold five paintings and three prints, and plan to do another show in 2017. Thanks to everyone that came to the gallery over October. Hope your holidays are everything you wish for.
